Filed under: Opinion — stuart @ 11:41 am

As you can see over the last week there hasn’t been much in the way of new stuff added to Vagusnet however I’m hoping this will change as i haven’t been feeling that well over the past week however I’m much better know so i will be updating much more from now on.

Now we are trying to get more things on here but we need your help and input as to what you think we should have on the site, i do have a few ideas but i need to go by Gaz first to see what he thinks.
I won’t tell you what they are but what i will say is that one of them is unique and i don’t think i’ve seen it on very many sites and i think that it would give all of you even more imput than before.

Viva Pinata heading to DS

Filed under: Uncategorized, News — stuart @ 11:35 am

In a quick piece of news for you Rare has announced at this years Comic Con that they are planning to bring Viva Pinata over to the DS later this year, very little in the way of details have been released about the game but it will us a top down look and also be like the 360 Viva Pinata and not the forthcoming game Viva Pinata Party Animals.

In a statement that Rara has released they said that

“As this one’s being developed in-house we’ll have a full section in the Games area when enough details and assets are available, but for now, here’s the first official screenshot (click the icon above) and a rundown of what you can expect…

This is a full-size Viva Piñata game in your pocket, featuring not only the entire range of paper beasts from the Xbox 360 title but also a few new ones thrown in to spice things up for those familiar with the established cast.

You’ll also be given free rein with an expanded selection of tools and tool actions, upgraded forms of the Journal and Encyclopedia, and brand new game modes such as Sandbox (for full and easy access to your favourite Piñatas) and Episodes (tying in more closely to the TV series and allowing fans of the show to spend quality time with familiar faces).

But one of the biggest changes is obviously the control method, with stylus input transforming the way in which you interact with your menagerie. Design, nurture, instruct, protect and care for your garden and animals through direct touch. The DS WiFi service also lets you send prime Piñata specimens to your friends, making the act of parading your Doenut around in a humiliating pirate outfit easier than ever.

And there you have it. More details as and when they arrive. When it comes to writing up the main game section we’ll probably recycle most of the text above, so I hope you enjoyed it. Viva Piñata on DS - roaming your way soon!”

The game will be out later this year and as soon as we get more on it we will let you know.

Elite 360 Priced

Filed under: News, Microsoft — stuart @ 10:35 am

It seems that HMV, Game and Play.com have done something a little cheeky and have announced that they plan to sell the Xbox 360 Elite at only 329.99 GBP, thats only 50 pounds more than the premium pack and they have also said that it will be out on the 24th August.

The Elite was released in american about a month ago and it retails at $479 (240 pounds) and it has sold really well however the move by these three companies to sell it for just 50 pounds more seems like a good move to get more people to buy the 360.

The elite comes boxed with a 120gb hard drive, a HDMI output port and incased in a lovly black casing with peripherals to match and will be out on the 24th August.
Lets hope that they have fixed the problems that the 360 is having at the moment and we should’nt see alot of elites having to be fixed because of the red ring of death.

E3: Best overall game

Filed under: News, Opinion, Microsoft — stuart @ 10:11 am

So it has come down to the best game at this years E3 and it was a hard choice as there were a lot of good games however in my eyes there was one that shone more than any other game, there was one that impressed me even more, there was one that stood higher than anything else, there was one… OK I’m going to stop there and tell you what it is.

Lady’s and Gentlemen i give the best game at E3 (drum roll please) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Now it’s a bit pointless telling you what the game is about but i will say that this time it isn’t set in world war two this time it’s set in present time and has a shit load more action that the other Call of Duty games.

So what the hell impressed me more than any other game well it was the fact that the developers saw that it was time for a change to the series and instead of doing a EA and release another Medal of Honor game in world war two they decided to set it in our times thus breathing new life into the series.
On top of all of this the graphics blew me away as they showed what can be done on next generation consoles.

So if watching the trailer and seeing the many screenshots of the game hasn’t impressed you then you need to stop laying video games now as you are no longer welcome in the video game fold.

E3: Best PSP Game

Filed under: Uncategorized, News — stuart @ 10:01 am

Now this coice boiled down to only two games and they were Silent Hill Origins and God of War and i decided to go with the first choice as i’ve been waiting along time for a new silent hill game that has the fell of the first two and it looks like this will be the one.

Set a few years before the first game you take control of Travis Gradier who has a truck accident and has to cope with the niastiness that is silent hill.
This time Konami has decided to give the player a bit more freedom with what they use for weapons with you able to use tv’s, toasters etc as well as the satndard weapons however there can be destroyed leaving you with looking for another ones. By doing this they have added an even more dooming threat to the game and also this was one of the best looking games for the PSP at E3.

E3: Best Nintendo Wii Game

Filed under: News, Nintendo — stuart @ 9:46 am

Now this was the hardest choice off all because of a few reasons and those being that i’m a huge Nintendo fan and anything they do is fantastic and secondly there were a number of games that really impressed me however i could only choose one and i think i took the safe road in choosing Super Mario Galaxy.

In Super Mario Galaxy you take control of Mario (as usual) on his quest to save the princess again however this time Nintendo has decided to let Mario venture out further this time by him exploring the galaxy this time instead.
Everything that has been shown so far of this game has made everybody drool including me and i cannot wait for this game.
