As said above the biggest announcement was that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be an exclusive game for the 360 and that it will be out sometime next year.
The other two big games announced was the appearance of Rez on XBLA and Treasures big space shooter Ikaruga.
On top of all of this Exit the PSP stylised puzzles platform game will also be hitting the Live Arcade.
Hopfully there will be more announced on these games at Microsofts press conference at this years Tokyo game show.
At there E3 conference Nintendo announced one of the peripherals the Wii Zapper will be bundled with a game and that game has been announced in the form of Link’s Crossbow Training.
The player takes control of link through a series of challenges in a world that is similar to Twilight Princess and will teach link how to use his crossbow.
Nintendo of America senior vice president of marketing said in a statement that “The Wii Zapper combines our remarkable controllers into one housing with a classic style reminiscent of arcade-style games,” he went on to say that “Both veteran and first-time players will find it brings a whole new dimension to games where targeting is key and provides even more exciting game-play experiences.”
However Link’s Crossbow Challenge will not be the only game out this year that will make use of the Zapper, EA has Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Capcom has Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles and finally SEGA will be releasing Ghost Squad and they will all make use of the new toy.
It looks like the Wii is still winning the console wars in japan with figures showing that it is out selling it’s main rival the PlayStation 3 by a figure of 3:1.
In the four weeks that ended on the 24th August the Wii sold 245,653 with the PlayStation 3 selling 81,541 units and the Xbox 360 lagging so far behind with only 11,288 sold in the same space of time.
This brings the total of Wii’s to 3.4 million with the PlayStation 3 shifting 1.1million and the Xbox 360 only selling 442,290 to date.
These figures show that the Wii is still out doing it’s competition and that the Xbox 360 still is the whipping boy of the three consoles and that Microsoft still hasn’t made the impact that they have in other territories.
With Sony being the only one out of the big three to have a press conference there biggest announcment was that a new service called PlayTV will be launched on the Ps3 early next year.
So what the hell is PlayTV well it basically boils down to a freeview tuner that you can use to watch TV on your PS3 and also you’ll be able to record your TV programmes onto the Playstation 3 hard drive.
The standard 7 day EPG will also be present where you can use it to set which programmes you want to record and also find out whats on TV for the next 7 days.
Another neat little feature was shown off that will enable you to watch programmes on your PSP and also be able to us it to set programmes for you to record.
In a quick little statement David Reeves head of Sony Europe said “The introduction of PlayTV really will extend the already broad entertainment credentials of PS3, and makes it an exceptionally attractive proposition for the whole family.”
The service will launch early next year and as soon as we find out more details we will let you know.
It’s about time that we get a price cut for the 360 as America, Australia and Japan have had one so people will be glad to hear that Microsoft has finally seen the light of day and announced that there will be a price cut from this Friday.

Stephen McGill head of gaming & entertainment for Xbox in the UK said in a statement that “Whether it’s our lead in console sales, record-setting games and accessory attach rates or our leading online service, evidence is everywhere that Xbox is thriving.”
He went on to say that “When you combine that momentum with these great-value offerings with our unbeatable Christmas game line-up, it’s clear that Xbox 360 is uniquely placed to take the UK by storm this Christmas.”.
The drop comes on the same day as Microsoft release two of there big games Bioshock and Blue Dragon and should increase the sales of the 360.
